Fall Color Guard
Varsity Winter Guard
Fall Color Guard is an audition-based dance ensemble comprised of only 9th - 12th grade students in association with the Westside Marching Band. This ensemble focuses on higher level performance in dance, flag, rifle, and sabre techniques. Students performing in this ensemble must have completed at least one season of Winter Guard or show competency in skills during the audition in order to become part of the team. The Fall Color Guard season runs from July through October with other requirements in November and December and competes in the South Carolina Band Directors Association (SCBDA) circuit.
Varsity Winter Guard is an audition-based dance ensemble comprised of only 9th - 12th grade students. This ensemble focuses on intermediate to advanced skill level performance in dance, flag, rifle, and sabre techniques. Any student who is in high school can audition for this ensemble. Auditions take place every November with the season lasting from December through April. The Varsity Winter Guard team currently competes in the Scholastic AAA class and is part of the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association (CWEA) circuit.

RAMS Cadets Winter Guard
The RAMS Cadets Winter Guard team is an audition-based dance ensemble comprised of only 6th - 8th grade students from either Robert Anderson Middle School and/or Southwood Academy of the Arts. This ensemble focuses on beginner skill level performance in dance, flag, and rifle techniques. Any student who is in middle school and zones for Westside can audition for this ensemble. Auditions take place every November with the season lasting from December through April. The RAMS Cadets Winter Guard team competes in the Cadet class and is part of the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association (CWEA) circuit.
